This was a career highlight for Jonny and I at authority films. We had the idea to do an homage to the old Bones Brigade skateboard videos from the 1980’s that we grew up watching in the form of a music video but hadn’t ever been presented with a band that fit the concept. When Jason DeMarco over at adult swim asked us to write a treatment for Cerebral Ballzy we knew these guys fit the old school skate rock vibe and we couldn’t wait to finally shoot this video. It was an honor to work with our skate heroes like Lance Mountain, Mike McGill, Steve Alba, and Christian Hosoi and have the band stoked on the idea as well. We went old school cinematography wise as well and shot this on period correct tube cameras to fully replicate the 1980’s video look. One was destroyed in the making. Enjoy!
